My fascination with guitars goes way back... WAY back
Believe it or not, there was a time (1979) when I actually
had good hair...These were the days of Bad Dreams and Fantasies
.
Two good friends.
(Willy died in December 2009.)
In 1980, Clean Fun was the theme. Something about "pulling wings off of flies", I don't know...
It seemed like a good idea at the time. The Gibson and I were soon to be inseparable.
The year was 1982.
The band was Honest Sam
(Left to right) John Sheridan, Me, True Rosaschi (brother)
On my lap is a creamy-smooth, 1994, 40-year anniversary edition Fender Strat.
In 1996, I wrote my most profound set of songs to the theme of "A Haunted Heart", based on the emotions of the same name, demonstrating that "it is more than just a hobby..."
I began playing publicly again in 2005 at open mic events, playing and singing songs that had to be rearranged for performing solo.
Shown below, I am unplugging at North Light Books & Cafe in Cotati.
This was the time of Better Than Gold, which took a while to complete.
