In the song "Between the Lines", I was speaking of the early internet chat rooms, where one needed to read between the lines in order to effectively communicate without speaking.

During this time, I was blending together the sounds of synthesized orchestration and distortion guitar. This contrast in harmony produced a rich, smooth guitar sound, and reflected the love/pain/joy/sorrow theme of Haunted Heart.

In the song "The River", I use the flowing water of a river as an analogy for life:

"It occurred to me our lives are like the water
On a journey to the sea,
